Concept Sketches - Roughs.

As I said... ROUGHS! haha. Just to get the ball rolling anyway on different thoughts.

Wednesdays Work

Today we all broke away from Rave. I don't think any of our guys went in (bar Spencer) which wasn't a bad thing. Gave us time to collect some of our own thoughts and come up with some of our own designs, character sketches and general gags for the story. I've been working on the main title again just thinking around the subject as well as thinking about the Sniper Rifle Gag. Thinking along the lines of vibrating beds being accidently switched on by the flick of a button and our clumsy assassin leaning on an old tv remote which BLASTS out music and makes him lose his cool. All the ideas will be put on to the main blog.

Other title ideas are:
Aim
One Shot
Assassins deed (lol)
The Mark - quite keen on this one guys.
Shooter
Aimer
Hired Help
Tired Gun
Kill from a far
Breach of conduct
Target
Motel Man
Bullet Proof Motel
SHOT, back and sides (taken from Ferhans classic idea)
Gunman
Gunster
Wiped Out
Marked Man
Dead Man Walking
Red, Grey, Gray
Crows Nest
Nesting
Crow's Nest
Rooster
Limited Vision
The 'Professional' (but the quotation marks appear after the title)
Opportunity Window

Think the one we've settled on is WHACK'D

My Role

In the Hitman team I am one of the Directors. We are all valuable though and that goes without saying. Each member of our team we need the skills of. We all have our areas of expertise and I am sure that this will come through as the project develops and lifts off the ground.
My role in all this is to work as a Producer/Director for now as well as doing the leg work (which everyone is going to be doing and pulling their weight) Everyone will undoubtly try a bit of everything else even if it isn't their speciality meaning that we'll walk away from this with a number of improved skills and a number of new skills to show off to the industry. I have also offered my services to Sarah Verrall's party as well as Lewis Taylors Party as they are lacking numbers and only have about 2 or 3 people in their groups.

Its going to be exciting to say the least.... On with the work!

Tuesdays Meeting

Quite annoying considering we don't have a room at all at the moment and we were SUPPOSED to have our 3rd year room DEDICATED to us. We all shifted out without any fuss at all and hope it gets sorted soon as its the beginning of term and everyone is beginning to have big plans.

Today consisted of the Hitman team meeting up. Sam and I have taken the lead director roles (joint) for a number of reasons. Sam originally came up with the Hitman idea and story (even though it has been changed considerably now). I on the other hand had a very good pitch and got a number of great votes however was told to combine with Sam as our projects were going to be very similar. I hope to incorporate a variety of different shots into Sams which I was planning to use in my own film (the ones that can be transferred anyway). We are not slavers wishing to push our team to death but we want the best for all of us and I'm sure the entire team just want something that looks freaking awesome for our final year. I've had a few thoughts about what potential it has and I'm looking forward to getting my teeth in to it. Anyway... today we have been discussing a few different gags that can come up during the Hitman's effort to take down his target. We came up with a few and I hope that in the long run the gags will be as funny as they seemed today.

Work still needs to be done however I'm sure we'll get there. Strong start guys now I just need to keep on trucking!

Monday 28th September

So we've sorted all the pitches out now and we got told today what has been green lit by Mike Smith, course leader. I am happy with the films that came out of the pitching process. Chosen by their peers. The people who came up with the chosen pitches have the choice of becoming a director or producer now.

Sam Saunders and I, a familiar name to my blog now after I worked with him during term two of last year on the Garage/Chop Shop project, have possibly the most difficult job out of everyone. Our task involves deciding on a pitch which collaborates the two of our pieces (if possible) as Mike Smith and Dan Dalli considered our two pitches being too similar to one another. Not wanting to cause a repeat in the degree show and wanting variety Mike Smith is pushing us to collaborate and come up with one project. Struggling though we are at the moment at deciding on the pitch and how to alter Sams project of 'The Hitman'. We have not yet attempted to collaborate any of my story into it yet and I do feel the script still needs work for it to work well to be a degree show piece.
